Chingiz Ryskulov
- Chingiz Ryskulov is a documentary filmmaker and photographer from Shymkent. In his work, he explores the lives and creative work of Kazakhstani artists, creating visual stories that preserve the country's cultural memory. His goal is to build a large-scale visual archive of documentary films and photographs about artists and creative personalities in Kazakhstan. In 2025, Chingiz founded KIIZSPACE, Shymkent's first contemporary art space, combining a gallery, workshop and art residency. This place has become a new attraction for local artists, students and anyone interested in contemporary art. One of the significant events of the year was the completion of the first part of the space and the holding of the first solo exhibition. KIIZSPACE has become not just an artistic initiative, but a platform for a new cultural life. Through his documentary films, Chingiz seeks to awaken interest in national culture and inspire the younger generation by showing that Kazakhstan has its own outstanding creators.
