Dmitry Abramov
- Dmitry Abramov is an art activist from Karaganda who develops the Jasart platform, aimed at supporting and protecting the rights of young people working in the creative industries. The project defends the interests of artists, artisans and other creators, helps them find platforms for self-expression, highlights their initiatives and organises community events. This year, the team went offline, opening an independent space called Zmeelovnya with a venue for film screenings, human rights workshops, art community meetings, sketch nights, master classes, and lectures in the field of creative industries and human rights. Here, young authors can freely exhibit their work, exchange experiences and find support. Dmitry considers the key result of the year to be the creation of a sustainable independent space where culture, creativity and human rights come together in a vibrant community. The initiative operates independently, without donors or state support.
