Evgeny Khabarov is a human rights activist and co-founder of the Tauan public foundation in Pavlodar, which promotes human rights and informal education in the region. In 2025, the foundation held 22 events, including training sessions on gender equality, discussions on women's rights and educational programmes on human rights, with a total reach of 222 people. Activists organised 10 events at the Human Rights Space Tauan venue.
One of the significant events of the year was the exhibition ‘Voices of Silence,’ created by the foundation in collaboration with Denis Panikhin, an artist and graduate of the Tauan human rights course. Through art, sound, text, and visual images, the project raises the silenced topic of violence in the army. The exhibition became an artistic and public statement, opening a discussion about the need for systemic change and human rights in the army. ‘Voices of Silence’ turned into an act of civil courage, where art became a space for memory and resistance to violence. A total of 140 people visited the exhibition.
