- Dariga Bilal is a Kazakh stand-up comedian who uses humour and self-irony to raise socially significant issues. In her performances, she combines personal experience with social problems, openly discussing topics that are often kept silent. In 2025, she presented a solo concert entitled ‘My First Time’ with the cover ‘It's My Own Fault’ – a phrase familiar to many victims of violence. Through her performance, Dariga raised issues such as the violation of personal boundaries in the family, street harassment and the culture of blaming victims. The video garnered over 29,000 views on YouTube and over 100,000 on Instagram, becoming an important step in the conversation about women's rights and gender-based violence in Kazakhstan.
