Mezet Kormesi
- Mezet Kormesi is an art initiative that held its first exhibition in 2025, which became not only an artistic but also a social statement. The participants created an independent group of Kazakh-speaking female artists to speak through art about freedom of expression and the equal right to be heard. Without their own space, they rented a garage, renovated it themselves and prepared the exhibition: the Mezet (‘Moment’) project was visited by about 300 people, for many of whom it was their first encounter with contemporary art. The key result was the creation of an independent space where art becomes a language of freedom, self-respect and dialogue. The team continues to work on a second exhibition, maintaining its focus on the accessibility of art and human rights through cultural self-expression.
