Queer KZ
- Queer QZ is an initiative that protects the rights of LGBTQ+ people. The team supports young people, conducts human rights and advocacy work, and prepares special reports for UN human rights mechanisms. Over the course of a year, the team has advised more than 100 people and provided emergency support to dozens, helping them move to safe places and protect themselves from violence and discrimination, which has had a direct impact on people's lives and safety. Queer QZ's recommendations were accepted by the UN Human Rights Committee, and the team presented its work in Geneva, which was a significant step for the young initiative; representatives also spoke at the OSCE conference. The work is carried out on a voluntary basis, with the active support of the community, without which the initiative's activities would not be possible.
